🏰 Domaine Robert Groffier is considered 【one of the finest producers in Burgundy】, despite owning plots in prime Grand Cru vineyards, they still fly relatively under the radar. The 2020 Bourgogne Rouge is noted for its commendable precision for a regional red, with attractive rose petal scents. It's described as a level up from Passetoutgrain, with impressive depth for its level and good aging potential. This Bourgogne Rouge offers a precise bouquet with rose petal scents. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red fruit, fine acidity, taut and fresh with good weight on the finish. Expect sweet, ripe raspberry/strawberry mix, with depth and a lovely crunchy, surprisingly long finish. It has good concentration with an appealing underlying freshness, showing the hallmark elegance of Groffier's Chambolle.
🍴 This versatile red Burgundy pairs beautifully with roasted chicken, pan-seared duck breast, mushroom dishes, or charcuterie. It's also a great match for lighter pasta dishes with tomato or cream sauces.
🥂 An excellent choice for a casual dinner, a gathering with friends, or as an everyday drinking Burgundy that offers quality beyond its regional classification. It's approachable now but has the structure to age.
