Jean Tardy, Echezeaux Les Treux Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru, 2023
🏰
【Representing the highly anticipated 2023 vintage, this Jean Tardy Echezeaux Les Treux Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru promises exceptional concentration and depth from its old vines, a true expression of a prestigious terroir.】 The 2023 Burgundy vintage is still very young, with detailed reports and tasting notes emerging. However, early indications suggest a promising year, and Grand Cru wines like this Echezeaux from old vines are expected to showcase significant potential for complexity and longevity. As a very young Grand Cru, expect a vibrant and intense wine, likely showing primary aromas of fresh red and black fruits, floral notes, and subtle earthy undertones. The palate should be powerful yet elegant, with fine-grained tannins and a long, evolving finish that hints at its future complexity.

This magnificent Grand Cru will pair exquisitely with sophisticated dishes such as roasted game birds (e.g., pheasant or partridge), truffle-infused risottos, slow-cooked beef tenderloin, or mature, earthy cheeses.
🥂 fit for event suggestion IN ENGLISH
An exceptional wine for a serious collector's cellar, destined for future enjoyment at a grand occasion or a very special anniversary. While extremely young, if opened now, a very long decant (3-4 hours) would be essential to allow its nascent complexities to unfold. Serve at 16-18°C.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Jean Tardy et Fils is a producer based in the commune of Flagey-Echézeaux in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits region. The domaine's small parcel of 80-year-old vines in the grand cru climat of Les Treux in Echézeaux produces its finest Pinot Noir and, since 2010, the company has also added an Aux Argillas wine to its portfolio of mainly village- and regional-level Pinot Noirs.
