🏰 The 1998 Bouchard P&F Montrachet Grand Cru is a magnificent white Burgundy from one of the world's most revered Chardonnay vineyards. Despite its age, a well-preserved bottle from this vintage can still offer a profound experience, revealing 【complex layers of honeyed orchard fruit, toasted nuts, truffle, and a striking minerality】 that speaks to its Grand Cru pedigree. Expect a deep golden hue and a rich, evolving palate.
🍴 This exceptional Montrachet deserves equally refined food pairings. Think pan-seared scallops with beurre blanc, roasted lobster, or a delicate chicken in cream sauce. For an Eastern pairing, consider steamed crab with ginger and spring onion, or a rich double-boiled chicken soup.
🥂 An extraordinary choice for a very special celebration, a connoisseur's tasting, or as a highlight of a fine dining experience. It's a wine that embodies luxury and history. When serving, be cautious with the cork due to its age. Decant gently if there's any sediment, and allow it to open up for 15-30 minutes. Serve chilled, but not overly cold, around 12-14°C (54-57°F) to allow its complex aromas to unfold.
