Château Musar is Lebanon's most famous winery, founded in 1930 by Gaston Hochar in the Bekaa Valley. It gained global legendary status under his son, Serge Hochar, who produced wine through decades of civil war. While famous for its reds, Musar Blanc is equally extraordinary. It is made from ancient, indigenous Lebanese grape varieties, Obaideh and Merwah, grown at high altitudes on ungrafted vines. Fermented and aged in oak, and held back for years before release, Musar Blanc is a deeply complex, oxidative wine. It offers rich textures and flavors of baked apple, honey, almond, and savory spices, capable of aging for decades.
