FEATURES
🏰 The 2010 Henri Bonneau Chateauneuf du Pape Reserve des Celestins is a 【sensational and truly epic wine, exemplifying the best of a historical vintage that balances intensity with refinement and concentration with clarity】. This was the last wine bottled by Henri Bonneau himself, making it a poignant piece of history. The 2010 vintage in Chateauneuf du Pape was outstanding, with this Reserve des Celestins expected to surpass the 2007 and possibly rival the legendary 1990. This blockbuster-styled red Rhone boasts an unusually inky ruby/purple color, with overflowing notes of kirsch liqueur, roasted meats, crushed flowers, garrigue, and a symphony of Provençal spices. The expansive, highly perfumed bouquet evokes dark fruit preserves, smoky Indian spices, and lavender, with a mineral element gaining power. On the palate, it's full-bodied, beautifully concentrated, and layered, offering intense blackberry and boysenberry flavors braced by juicy acidity, leading to an extremely long, focused finish framed by velvety tannins. Expect a powerful, masculine nose of black fruits, sandalwood, pepper, and graphite. 🍴 This profound Chateauneuf du Pape is a magnificent partner for roasted lamb, rich beef dishes, game, and hearty stews. Its complexity also stands up to dishes with truffles or strong, aged cheeses. 🥂 A monumental wine for a momentous occasion, such as a significant anniversary or a grand celebration. This wine is built for the long haul, with a recommended drinking window extending to 2050. It requires significant aeration if consumed now, ideally needing another 5-7 years to reach full maturity.
BACKGROUND
