【From the master of white Burgundy, Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey, this 2023 Bourgogne Hautes-Cotes de Beaune "Au Bout du Monde" is an extraordinary entry point to his sought-after range, offering exceptional precision and freshness.】 The 2023 vintage for Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey is noted for its success, with wines showcasing remarkable freshness and tension, achieved through early picking and extended lees aging in his new, colder cellars. This particular cuvée comes from a unique, high-altitude, southwest-facing site known as "Bout du Monde" (End of the World).
This vibrant white Burgundy presents a pale gold color and a nose bursting with green apple, lime zest, white flowers, and a hint of hazelnut. The palate is crisp, lively, and mineral-driven, offering flavors of fresh white peach, lemon curd, and flinty complexity, culminating in an elegantly balanced and refreshing finish with subtle notes of almond and brioche. Some tasters also note aromas of petrol and straw, with a juicy, bitter lemon-tinged finale.
