🏰 From the "excellent" 1996 Burgundy vintage, this Hudelot Noellat Richebourg Grand Cru is a magnificent wine, offering 【intensity, finesse, and remarkable aging potential】. The 1996 vintage produced wines with a rare combination of healthy sugars, high acidity, and sound, ripe skins, leading to a solid structure and elegant tannins. Expect a complex bouquet of red berries, forest floor, subtle spice, and an evolving tertiary character that promises further delights.
🍴 This profound red Burgundy is a sublime match for game dishes like grouse or roasted duck, truffle-infused pasta, or rich mushroom preparations. It also pairs beautifully with aged, earthy cheeses.
🥂 A truly special wine for milestone celebrations, serious collectors, or an unforgettable tasting experience.
*Serving Suggestion:* For a Grand Cru of this age, careful handling is key. Stand the bottle upright for several days to allow sediment to settle. Use a two-pronged Ah-So opener or a Durand to minimize cork breakage. Decant gently for 30-60 minutes to allow the wine to open up, but avoid excessive aeration. Serve at a cool cellar temperature, around 16-18°C, to best appreciate its delicate complexities.
