🏰 The 2009 Louis Jadot Echezeaux Grand Cru is an 【extraordinary balance of power and refinement, outperforming even more prestigious bottlings from the region】 due to Jadot's meticulous viticulture. This vintage was generally excellent in Burgundy. It presents a bright dark red color with lively, deep aromas of dark berries, cherry, and blood orange. The palate is broad, vibrant, and harmonious, showcasing superb sappiness and mineral tension to its red fruit and floral flavors. The finish is exceptionally long and ethereal, leaving a mineral dust coating, truly transcending the vintage in sheer energy. While seamless and inviting, some notes suggest it's tightly wound and will benefit from further bottle aging.
🍴 For food pairing, this elegant red Burgundy shines with classic Burgundian dishes like Coq au Vin or Boeuf Bourguignon. It's also superb with roasted poultry, game birds such as pheasant or duck, and mushroom-based dishes like truffle risotto. For an Asian twist, consider Cantonese roasted goose or a delicate dim sum selection.
🥂 This wine is perfect for a sophisticated dinner party, a special anniversary celebration, or as a thoughtful gift for a Burgundy connoisseur.
