🏰 The 2018 Du Comte Liger-Belair Vosne Romanée La Colombiere is a 【superb expression of Vosne Romanée's elegance and Liger-Belair's precision】, even in a warm and ripe vintage. This red Burgundy offers a bouquet of ripe red and black fruits, floral notes, and hints of spice, forest floor, and subtle oak. The palate is likely full-bodied, with silky tannins, good acidity, and a long, complex finish, showcasing the concentration typical of the 2018 vintage while maintaining the producer's signature finesse.
🍴 This exquisite Pinot Noir is an excellent partner for roasted duck breast, pan-seared venison, mushroom and truffle dishes, or fine charcuterie.
🥂 A superb choice for a special dinner, a gathering of Burgundy lovers, or a significant celebration. This wine is still young and has excellent aging potential, but can be enjoyed now with decanting to allow its complexities to unfold.
BACKGROUND
Founded in 2000, Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair is a relatively new wine producer in Burgundy, but the Liger-Belair family has experience in vineyards since 1815. . It is now managed by Louis-Michel Liguet, Comte de Belaire, who has begun planting vineyards again in Vonn-Romagne and Saint-Georges. Comte Liger-Belair now produces its only wine from La Romanée, a Grand Cru vineyard located on the Romanée-Conti hills. The domaine also owns land in several Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru vineyards. Although the domaine is young, its wines are elegantly structured and highly sought after. La Romanée is one of the most expensive wines produced in Burgundy.
