Red
750ml
Label : Good Label
Level : Neck Level
Capsule : Good Capsule
🏰The 2024 Burgundy vintage, from which Frédéric Esmonin's Ruchottes Chambertin Grand Cru will emerge, is hailed as a 【heroic vintage】 where astute grape-growing and winemaking choices triumphed over challenging conditions. Despite tiny volumes due to extended rainfall, frost, hail, and mildew, modern vineyard management has yielded good to very good wines. The season stabilized from August onwards, with cool nights and warm, dry days, leading to wines characterized by freshness, salinity, and excellent site expression. While white wines are particularly lauded, the red wines are also described as delicious and approachable in their youth.
🍴 This Grand Cru Pinot Noir, once released, will likely pair beautifully with classic red Burgundy pairings such as roasted duck, game birds, venison, and charcuterie boards.
🥂 Given the challenging yet ultimately rewarding 2024 vintage, this Grand Cru will be a fascinating wine to explore. Ideal for a tasting with fellow Burgundy enthusiasts to appreciate the winemaker's skill in a difficult year, or for a celebratory dinner once it has had a few years to develop.
