🏰Faiveley's Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru 2000 is a 【powerful and opulent expression from one of Burgundy's most renowned Grand Cru vineyards】, with a history dating back to 640 AD. The 2000 Burgundy vintage was generally very good to excellent, particularly in the Côte de Nuits, characterized by a warm, dry growing season and ripe red fruit flavors, often with raspberry notes. This full-bodied Pinot Noir offers a complex palette of red fruit and floral aromas, enhanced by delicate oak, liquorice, and spices. The palate is round, rich, and elegant with attractive liveliness, distinguished tannins, and a finesse finish, showcasing subtle earthy nuances of violets, truffles, and licorice.
🍴This Grand Cru is an ideal companion to complex dishes such as chicken in red wine sauce, roast lamb in gravy, rib steak, or other red meats and big game. It also pairs beautifully with ripe or full-flavored soft-centered cheeses and truffles.
🥂An age-worthy wine, this 2000 vintage can be laid down for 10 to 20 years or more, making it perfect for milestone celebrations or a sophisticated fine dining experience. For this older vintage, carefully check the cork and capsule. Serve at 14-16°C (57-61°F), and consider decanting for an hour or so to allow its complex tertiary aromas to fully unfold.
