Hudelot Noellat, Richebourg Grand Cru, 1997
Red
750ml
Label : Good Label
Level : Neck Level
Capsule : Good Capsule
🏰 The 1997 vintage in Burgundy was generally considered good, particularly for red wines, offering charming and approachable Pinot Noirs that matured relatively early but still possessed good structure. Hudelot-Noëllat's Richebourg Grand Cru 1997, from one of Burgundy's most revered vineyards, is a testament to the potential of this vintage. It typically presents a complex bouquet of red and dark fruits, floral notes, and an evolving earthy, spicy character. On the palate, it is elegant and harmonious, with fine-grained tannins and a persistent finish, showcasing the depth and finesse expected from a Grand Cru. 【 Esteemed Grand Cru 】
This is a mature wine, and while it should still offer immense pleasure, it's important to approach it with care. Older wines can be delicate, and the cork and capsule may be fragile. Stand the bottle upright for several days before serving to allow any sediment to settle. Decant gently, perhaps through a fine mesh, just before serving to separate the wine from any sediment and allow it to breathe for a short period, typically 30-60 minutes. Serve slightly below room temperature, around 16-18°C (60-64°F).
🍴 This exquisite red 布根地 pairs beautifully with refined dishes such as roasted pheasant, truffle-infused pasta, or a delicate beef tenderloin. For an Eastern pairing, consider a subtly spiced Cantonese braised abalone or a refined Japanese sukiyaki.
🥂 An exceptional choice for a significant anniversary, a high-end corporate dinner, or a private tasting among serious collectors. Its rarity and Grand Cru status make it a truly special bottle for a memorable occasion.

The vineyards are primarily located in Vosne-Romanée, Chambolle-Musigny, and Nuits-St-Georges, covering a total of 6.6 hectares. The estate is currently managed by Charles Van Canneyt. In 2005, winemaker Vincent Munier joined the team.
