FEATURES
🏰Dunn Vineyards' Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon is a world-renowned, long-term proposition, with the 2018 vintage hailed as one of Napa Valley's best ever, showcasing remarkable purity and concentration. The 2018 vintage in Napa Valley was a spectacular year, producing rich, dark, and terroir-driven wines. This wine is a typically long-term proposition, coated in dusty tannins and cedary oak, requiring patience for its full expression. It is aged 32 months in 100% new French oak. This elegant, deep, and classy Cabernet offers savory aromas of 【mulberries, mocha, blackcurrants, and graphite】. The full-bodied palate is robust yet integrated with tannins and balanced acidity, revealing notes of 【ferric earth, dark cherries, and cassia bark】. Expect inky dark 【purplish fruit, savory herbs, menthol, licorice, and spice】, with a lush, pure drive and texture, culminating in a long, iron accent through the finish.
🍴 Pairs exceptionally well with foods higher in fat and savory flavors, such as red meats (prime rib, New York strip, filet mignon), lamb, and fattier cheeses. Also a great match for slow-braised short ribs or artisan grilled cheese with fig jam.
🥂 An iconic wine for serious collectors, perfect for a special occasion dinner, a vertical tasting, or as a cornerstone of a fine wine cellar.
Serving: This wine is built for the long haul; best from 2024 through 2040. It will need at least five years, and probably more, to evolve. Decanting for 4+ hours is highly recommended if opening young.
