This blend (typically around 71% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon) is made from young vine parcels in the famous "Le Clos" vineyard, designed for earlier drinking. Expect a deep ruby color with aromas of blueberries, minerals, flowers, blackberry leaf, violet, tobacco, and cedar. The palate is luscious and fruit-driven, with abundant fruit, easy-going to firm tannins that become round, good acidity, and a fresh, long, and persistent finish, showcasing thick black fruits, black cherry, and spicy notes. 🍴 This intense Bordeaux pairs wonderfully with duck breast with red berries, a selection of mature cheeses, beef and venison, or even roasted quail with white truffle.
