🏰【A textbook Morey-Saint-Denis from Dujac, the 2023 vintage offers lovely fruit intensity and a generous, hedonistic profile.】 The 2023 Domaine Dujac Morey-Saint-Denis is described as a textbook example, with lovely fruit and intensity, and a delightful hedonistic note. This vintage is noted for its open-knit feel of generosity without sacrificing precision, with some similarities to the 2000 vintage. Expect ripe berry and cherry confit fruit notes, sweet, luscious, and rich in the mouth, with gentle flecks of mineral just below the flesh, making it accessible and hedonistic with a fresh finish. The wine is wide open and crammed with plum and cherry fruits, some licorice, and a light dusting of chalk on the finish.
🍴 This red Pinot Noir, with its lush berries and red flowers, would pair wonderfully with roasted poultry, game birds, or earthy mushroom dishes. Consider a classic Boeuf Bourguignon or a delicate duck breast with cherry sauce.
🥂 Perfect for a celebratory dinner, a gathering with friends, or a special occasion where a vibrant and expressive red Burgundy is desired. It's enjoyable now but will continue to improve with a few years in the cellar.
