Laurent Ponsot, Bonnes Mares Cuvee De L'amandier Grand Cru, 2019
🏰 The 2019 vintage in Burgundy was generally considered excellent, producing wines with depth and ripeness, showing enormous charm and vitality. Laurent Ponsot's Bonnes Mares Cuvée de l'Amandier Grand Cru 2019 is expected to embody these characteristics. While specific tasting notes for this particular cuvée and vintage are not widely available yet, Bonnes Mares Grand Cru wines are renowned for their power, structure, and aromatic complexity, often displaying notes of red and black fruits, violets, and earthy undertones. The 2019 vintage's overall quality suggests a wine with significant aging potential and a harmonious balance of fruit and acidity. 【Exceptional Grand Cru from a highly-praised Burgundy vintage】.
🍴 This powerful and elegant red Burgundy would be an exquisite match for classic French cuisine such as roasted duck breast with cherry sauce, pan-seared foie gras, or a rich mushroom risotto. For an Eastern pairing, consider Peking duck or a delicate braised pork belly.
🥂 This wine is perfect for a milestone celebration, a serious wine tasting, or a luxurious dinner where the wine is the star. It's a wine to be savoured and discussed among connoisseurs.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Laurent Ponsot is Laurent Ponsot who resigned from Domaine Ponsot in early 2017 and established his own business in Burgundy with his son. For his new venture, he continues to source fruit from his sharecropping arrangement with the Mercier family, which includes plots of Griotte, Chambertin and Chambolle 1er Cru “Les Charmes,” vines grown by Ponsot since 1982.
