FEATURES
The 2019 vintage in Burgundy was widely acclaimed as truly excellent, even legendary, despite a mild winter followed by a chilly spring with frosts that impacted yields in the Mâconnais. Domaine Coche-Dury has evolved its winemaking style in recent vintages, opting for less new oak, reduced bâtonnage, and lighter lees, aiming for a purer expression of terroir.
This Meursault Les Rougeots 2019 reveals notes of crisp Anjou pear, white flowers, orange oil, fresh bread, almond paste, and vanilla pod. It presents as medium to full-bodied, layered, and concentrated, showcasing an elegant muscularity, terrific concentration, lively acids, and a chalky grip, culminating in a long, resonant finish. Some tasters also note ripe pear, yellow orchard fruit, candied lemon with a hint of gunflint reduction, and a luxurious, grand, and persistent character. With aeration, signature characteristics of popcorn, flint, butter, and vanilla emerge. 【Terrific concentration, lively acids and chalky grip, built to age】
🍴 Food Pairing: This exquisite white Burgundy pairs beautifully with roasted chicken or turkey.
🥂 Event Suggestions: This wine is beautifully balanced and crafted for ageing, making it enjoyable in its youth but promising even greater complexity with time in the cellar. It is an outstanding choice for special celebrations, fine dining experiences, or as a thoughtful gift for a discerning wine enthusiast.
