FEATURES
🏰 The 2009 vintage in the Northern Rhône was an excellent year, characterized by warm and dry conditions that led to an early harvest and high-quality, generous reds and rich whites. M. Chapoutier, a leading biodynamic producer, is celebrated for its profound expressions of Rhône terroir. Their Saint-Joseph Les Granits, both red and white, are highly acclaimed. The red (Syrah) is known for its ripe black raspberry, kirsch, toasted bread, spice, and floral aromas and flavors, being ripe, beautifully concentrated, and layered. It offers a smooth and gentle approach on the palate, with gorgeous inner perfume, tart fruit, spicy and meaty notes, subtle floral and herbal tones, and impeccable balance. The white (Marsanne) is equally impressive, with intriguing aromas of poached pear, orange pith, white flowers, and iodine, leading to expansive orchard fruit flavors and smoky mineral qualities. It's gorgeously rich, with exotic tropical fruits, apricot, flower oil, honey, and wet stone characteristics. 【 A triumph of concentration and elegance from a stellar Northern Rhône vintage 】.
🍴 The red Saint-Joseph Les Granits pairs wonderfully with lamb, roasted meats, game, and rich stews. The white version, with its richness and complexity, can handle the richest foods with ease, making it suitable for roasted chicken, creamy seafood dishes, or strong cheeses.
🥂 This wine is perfect for a celebratory dinner, a special occasion, or as a sophisticated gift for a Rhône wine enthusiast. The red is enjoyable over the coming decade and will evolve for longer, while the white can age gracefully for two decades or longer. Serve the red at 16-18°C (61-64°F) and the white at 12-14°C (54-57°F). Decanting the red for 1-2 hours can enhance its expression.
