🏰【Château Carbonnieux Blanc 2015 is a highly acclaimed Pessac-Léognan white, recognized as a Wine Enthusiast Top 100 Cellar Selection for 2018】. This vintage opens with vibrant scents of white grapefruit, lemon peel, and fresh pears, complemented by dill seed, white pepper, musk perfume, and crushed rocks. It is light to medium-bodied with a wonderfully racy backbone of refreshing acidity, cutting through intense citrus and mineral flavors, finishing on an herbal note. This wine is drinking beautifully now, showing both freshness and developing complexity, with potential to evolve gracefully until 2030.
🍴 This versatile white Bordeaux excels with a wide range of dishes, from refined seafood like seared scallops with lemon beurre blanc, oysters, and grilled fish, to white meats such as roasted chicken with herb sauce, veal, and pork. It also pairs brilliantly with rich dishes like foie gras, charcuterie, creamy shellfish, light poultry preparations, and various cheeses.
🥂 An excellent choice for a sophisticated seafood dinner, a celebratory lunch, or a special occasion where a complex and age-worthy white wine is desired. It's also perfect for a picnic with elegant French dishes.
