🏰 The 2015 vintage in Burgundy was exceptional, a "harmonious symphony of ripeness and structure," with a temperate spring and a warm, sun-drenched summer leading to perfect phenolic ripeness and balanced acidity. Domaine Leroy's 2015 Vosne-Romanée Les Genaivrières stands out as a paragon of this sublime vintage, embodying the region's prowess for complex Pinot Noirs with outstanding aging potential.
This wine exudes an aromatic profile as intricate as it is profound, with whispers of dark cherries and ripe strawberries, surrounded by earthy undertones and hints of sweet spice. Aromas of rich berry fruit, grilled game bird, spices, and rose petals introduce a full-bodied, broad, and enveloping wine with a rich core of fruit, ripe acids, and powdery tannins. It is deep, concentrated, and impeccably balanced for the long haul, with a long, saline, electrifying finish. It's described as layered and intense, with impressive concentration of dark fruits and savory spices encased in a medium body. 【 A paragon of the exceptional 2015 Burgundy vintage, showcasing profound complexity and outstanding aging potential 】
🥂 This is a truly special wine, ideal for significant celebrations, a serious Burgundy tasting, or as a centerpiece for a gourmet dinner. Its complexity and aging potential make it a collector's dream.
🍴 It pairs excellently with duck, goose, and game birds. Roast duck is a classic partner for Pinot Noir. Consider dishes like roasted squab with wild mushrooms or pan-seared duck breast.
