Jean Claude Ramonet, Chassagne Montrachet Les Vergers 1er Cru, 2021
🏰 Renowned for its exceptional pedigree, this 2021 Jean Claude Ramonet Chassagne Montrachet Les Vergers 1er Cru embodies the classic elegance of a top white Burgundy from a challenging yet rewarding vintage. The 2021 vintage in Burgundy, though marked by frost and lower yields, produced wines celebrated for their 【vibrant acidity, crystalline purity, and refreshing minerality】. Expect a wine with a bright, focused character, showcasing notes of crisp green apple, lemon zest, and subtle floral undertones, complemented by a delicate hint of oak and a long, precise finish.
🍴 This exquisite white Burgundy is perfect with pan-seared scallops, roasted chicken with herbs, or a delicate fish en papillote. For an Asian twist, consider steamed garoupa with ginger and spring onion, or even a light dim sum selection.
🥂 Ideal for a sophisticated dinner party, a special anniversary celebration, or a discerning tasting session with fellow wine enthusiasts.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Ramonet is a prominent wine producer in the Burgundy appellations of Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet, France. Ramonet owns more than 15 hectares (37 acres) of vineyards. The primary grape variety is Chardonnay, with a small amount of Pinot Noir also planted. The estate's most important wines are made from Chardonnay from the area's grand cru vineyards, and are highly collectible, often selling for high prices at auction. Domaine Ramonet makes several red wines from Pinot Noir as well. Domaine Ramonet is now run by Noël and Jean-Claude Ramonet, following the death of their father Pierre in the mid-1990s.
