🏰The 1974 Henri Boillot Volnay Les Chevrets 1er Cru, from a renowned producer focused on expressing terroir, offers a 【delicate and floral profile】 with silky tannins, embodying the elegant, feminine style of Volnay. Expect a brilliant ruby hue with black undertones, and a nose of 【black berries, red fruit, raspberry, cranberry, and red cherry】, complemented by earthy notes of mushroom and subtle barrel tones. The palate is juicy, smooth, and elegant, with outstanding fruit quality and a long, silky finish.
🍴 This refined red Burgundy pairs beautifully with roasted poultry like duck or guinea fowl, mushroom-based dishes, or delicate game birds. For a cheese pairing, consider a mild, creamy Brie or a semi-hard Comté.
🥂 An extraordinary choice for a very special, intimate occasion or a vertical tasting of aged 布根地. Given its age, this wine will likely show a beautiful evolution of tertiary aromas. Please handle the cork and capsule with extreme care upon opening.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Henri Boillot is a wine producer based in Meursault, France, is renowned for its red and white wines from Côtes de Beaune appellations. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are the primary grape varieties featured. The estate was named Domaine Jean Boillot until 2005, but was changed when Henri Boillot bought out his siblings in order to distinguish it from his brother's new Domaine Jean-Marc Boillot. Henri had previously set up Maison Henri Boillot for négociant wines and retains these labels to distinguish them from estate wines.
