This magnificent Hermitage Ex Voto Rouge demands equally grand pairings. Think slow-braised oxtail, roasted venison with a rich reduction, or a classic Cantonese claypot rice with preserved meats. For a luxurious Western meal, consider a prime rib roast or truffle-infused dishes.

BACKGROUND
E Guigal is one of the most famous wine producers in the Rhône. The company was founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal in Ampuis on the west bank of the Rhone, just a stone's throw from the famous sun-baked slopes of the Côte Rôtie. Guigard's flagship wines are the famous "LaLa": La Landonne, La Mouline and La Turque. La Landonne is 100% Syrah, from 40-year-old vines and aged in oak barrels for a similar amount of time.
