🏰Henri Boillot's Volnay Les Fremiets 1er Cru is renowned for producing well-structured wines with exceptional depth and elegance. The 2010 vintage in Burgundy was generally considered a classic year, yielding wines with good structure and freshness, suitable for aging. This wine presents a mid-ruby-purple hue, offering lifted aromas of 【strawberry, dried rose petals, red plum, bing cherry, and marshmallow】, beautifully embellished with 【minerals, clove, and nutmeg】. Medium to full-bodied, the palate reveals expressive flavors of 【redcurrants, bing cherry, dried earth, and rose petals】, supported by a vibrant, mineral-edged acidity and finessed tannins, culminating in a long, silky finish.
🍴 It pairs wonderfully with rich dishes such as duck confit, herb-crusted lamb, or mushroom risotto. Also excellent with veal, game (like deer or venison), and traditional turkey and trimmings.
🥂 Ideal for a sophisticated dinner party, a special anniversary celebration, or a thoughtful gift for a Burgundy enthusiast.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Henri Boillot is a wine producer based in Meursault, France, is renowned for its red and white wines from Côtes de Beaune appellations. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are the primary grape varieties featured. The estate was named Domaine Jean Boillot until 2005, but was changed when Henri Boillot bought out his siblings in order to distinguish it from his brother's new Domaine Jean-Marc Boillot. Henri had previously set up Maison Henri Boillot for négociant wines and retains these labels to distinguish them from estate wines.
