🏰The 2023 Louis Jadot Chambertin Grand Cru is a young expression of this 【exceptional grand terroir combined with that of a noble Pinot Noir grape variety】. Chambertin Grand Cru wines are renowned for their exotic aromas and stunning landscapes.
🍴 This Grand Cru red Burgundy pairs excellently with finely prepared roasted or stewed meats such as beef, lamb, pork, game, and duck. It's also a lovely accompaniment to poultry dishes like roast chicken and quail, and medium to mature cheeses, such as Époisses.
🥂 Perfect for a special occasion or a celebratory meal, this wine, though young, promises great aging potential and will develop further complexity over the years. It's a fantastic choice for those who appreciate the power and elegance of a top Burgundy.
BACKGROUND
Louis Jadot is a prominent Burgundy wine producer and négociant. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are the primary grape varieties featured. The house was established in Beaune in 1859 by Louis Jadot. The company has seen several leadership changes: Gagey's son Pierre-Henry took over as president in 1991, Gagey died in 1999, and Lardière retired in 2012. Frédéric Barnier, who joined in 2010, is now the head winemaker, and Thibault Gagey has joined his father Pierre-Henry in leading the firm.
