FEATURES
🏰 Domaine Leflaive's 2005 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru is a 【terrific wine】 from a superb vintage, renowned for its aristocratic finesse, incredible concentration, and vibrant energy, making it one of the top white Burgundies of the year. The 2005 vintage for Burgundy was superb, with a warm, easy spring, dry June and July, and good ripening conditions. This vintage produced a muscular, imposing Chevalier, nodding to the 1989 vintage in style but better balanced. It offers a stunning bouquet of confit lemons, honeycomb, vine blossom, and freshly baked bread. The nose is ultra-pure and somewhat reserved, with rose petal, anise, white peach, and pear aromas, displaying subtle hints of stone and smoke. Full-bodied, ample, and multidimensional, with incredible concentration, firm dry extract, lively acids, and a long finish.
🍴 This wine pairs well with chicken and turkey. Richer white Burgundies can also handle cream sauces and buttery preparations.
🥂 Ideal for milestone anniversaries, significant birthdays, high-end seafood dinners, or a serious white Burgundy tasting. Serve well-chilled but not ice cold, ideally around 10 to 12°C (50 to 54°F).
