Mugneret Gibourg, Chambolle Musigny Les Feusselottes 1er Cru, 2018
🏰 The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Les Feusselottes 1er Cru from Mugneret-Gibourg is a beautifully defined expression of Burgundy Pinot Noir. The 2018 vintage in Burgundy for reds was generally characterized by magnificent balance, sweet, crystalline red fruit flavors, and a soft, silky, subtle tannic mouthfeel, despite some variations in concentration due to generous yields. This particular wine offers a vivid red berry fruit nose infused with wilted rose petals and peony. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with crisp tannins and remarkable harmony. Expect aromas of red berries, underbrush, purple flowers, and baking spices, with a suave and textured feel, and a touch of truffle and earth on the finish. Some critics have even rated it as one of the best vintages, surpassing 2015 in intensity and graceful elegance. 【 Known for combining intensity with graceful elegance, making it a standout vintage. 】.
🍴 This elegant Pinot Noir pairs wonderfully with classic Burgundian fare. Think duck breast with dried fruit, wild mushroom tart, or grilled steak with potatoes. Its finesse also makes it suitable for lighter game birds or delicate roasted poultry.
🥂 Ideal for a sophisticated dinner party, a romantic evening, or a special occasion where a refined red Burgundy is desired. It's approachable now but will continue to evolve gracefully, with a recommended drinking window from 2023-2040.
