🏰 The 2021 Mas Bruguière Pic Saint-Loup La Grenadière is a 【beautifully expressive red blend, with 90% 40-year-old Syrah taking center stage, showcasing the richness and complexity of its esteemed Languedoc terroir】. Mas Bruguière is committed to organic farming, and their 'La Grenadière' is crafted from old vineyards. The 2021 vintage in Pic Saint-Loup was notably fresh, resulting in high acidities and excellent aging potential. This wine has garnered impressive critical acclaim, receiving 94 points from Decanter and 93 points from La RVF.
🍴 Expect an intense and complex nose evoking the maturity of fruit, with 【very ripe black fruits, a roll of licorice, and a nice general sweetness of density】. It offers red and black fruit, black pepper, bay leaf, and meaty notes. The palate is well-built, dense, and deep, with big freshness and powerful yet well-mastered tannins. It's textured like crimson silk, with clean, defined lines and a mineral, stony core, concentrated yet fresh and refined. You'll find black plums, forest berries, black olives, and a very precise, floral, seductive blackcurrant imprint.
🥂 An expressive wine with excellent structure for aging, this is ideal for a hearty dinner or for cellaring to appreciate its evolving complexity. It pairs wonderfully with game meats like duck breast, leg of lamb, or venison stew.
Serving: Decant for one hour before serving and enjoy at 16-18°C (60-64°F) to allow its full aromatic spectrum to unfold.
