FEATURES
🏰Henri Rebourseau Chambertin Grand Cru 1982 offers a 【rare and mature expression of one of Burgundy's most powerful Grand Crus】, revealing the complex tertiary aromas and softened structure of a well-aged Pinot Noir. Chambertin is renowned for producing wines of immense power, structure, and longevity. The 1982 vintage for red Burgundy was generally considered good and ripe, and a wine of this age from a top producer will showcase a beautiful evolution. Expect notes of dried fruits, forest floor, leather, and subtle spice, with a silky texture and a long, elegant finish. 🍴 This venerable Grand Cru Pinot Noir is best enjoyed with classic, refined dishes. Consider roasted game birds, slow-cooked beef, or delicate truffle preparations. Its evolved character also pairs wonderfully with mature, earthy cheeses. 🥂 An extraordinary bottle for a truly special occasion, a milestone anniversary, or a profound tasting experience for serious Burgundy collectors. This wine is at its peak of maturity, offering a glimpse into the past. Kindly remember that older bottles may have delicate corks and capsules, so open with care.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Henri Rebourseau is a well-regarded wine producer based in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin in the northern Côte de Nuits subregion of Burgundy's Côte d'Or heartland. The domaine produces principally red wines from the Pinot Noir variety. The estate began in the mid-19th century when Jean-Baptiste Rebourseau and his wife Louise-Victoire Philippon consolidated vineyard holdings. It was passed to his sons Émile and Henri, and in 1949 to Henri's son Pierre Rebourseau. In 1980, Pierre's grandson Jean de Surrel took over, shifting to organic and biodynamic viticulture. In 2018, Olivier and Martin Bouygues acquired a controlling share. Bénigne and Louis now manage the estate with Hervé Berland.
