🏰 Domaine du Pegau's Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Laurence is a highly sought-after wine, celebrated for its traditional style and incredible depth. This 2019 vintage comes from a producer known for crafting powerful, expressive wines that truly embody the essence of Chateauneuf du Pape. While specific 2019 Rhone Valley vintage reports are still being fully assessed, the region generally produced wines of excellent quality, promising a Cuvee Laurence with great concentration and aging potential.
🍴 This rich and complex Chateauneuf du Pape would be magnificent with hearty stews like daube de boeuf, grilled lamb chops with rosemary, or game dishes such as venison. For an Eastern pairing, consider Korean BBQ short ribs or a robust Malaysian beef rendang.
🥂 An exceptional choice for a grand celebration, a special family gathering, or a serious wine dinner where a powerful and age-worthy red is desired.
BACKGROUND
Domaine du Pegau is a well-known wine producer based in Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation of the Rhône Valley, France. It is known for its traditional-styled wines from that appellation, based on the Grenache grape variety. The winery was built in 1989 and today the majority of the wines are produced there. Domaine du Pegau now owns 21 hectares (52 acres) of red Châteauneuf-du-Pape vines and two hectares of white. A range of other Côtes du Rhône Villages, Côtes du Rhône and Vin de France wines are made under the Château de Pégau label from fruit grown at an estate 6 kilometers north of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
