🏰 From one of Meursault's rising stars, the 2017 Pierre Boisson Meursault Les Criots is a standout, a lieu-dit previously blended into village wines but now bottled separately due to its 【expressive and tightly wound mineral character】. This white Burgundy offers a surprisingly dense and finely juicy profile for a Village wine, with a nose of 【pure lemon, lime, subtle noble reduction, soft florals, citrus oils, green herbs, almond, and a salty sea breeze】. The palate impresses with energy, freshness, and good acidity, showcasing delicate melting textures, fresh apple, light blossom honey, and a hint of flint, leading to a long finish.
🍴 This elegant Meursault pairs beautifully with rich fish courses like grilled salmon or tuna, roasted chicken, creamy pasta dishes, and soft, mild cheeses. Its minerality also makes it an excellent match for seafood and shellfish.
🥂 Ideal for a celebratory meal, a sophisticated tasting, or as a thoughtful gift for a Burgundy enthusiast. Its quality is clear, and it should remain at this level for at least another five years. Serve chilled, around 12-14°C (54-57°F).
BACKGROUND
Domaine Pierre Boisson/Anne Boisson is a family winery. The winery is run by father Bernard (retired in 2016), son Pierre and daughter Anne. Although it is the same winery, the wines produced by the three people will be labeled separately. on their respective names. They jointly own 8.5 hectares of land around the Cote de Beaune, and the vineyard's terroir is wet stone and flint, giving the grapes more minerality.
