FEATURES
🏰 The 2019 Carte Blanche Chardonnay UV Vineyard is a 【gorgeous, intense, and racy wine of great purity, sourced from one of the best Chardonnay vineyards in the U.S.】. The 2019 vintage in Sonoma Coast, located six miles from the ocean, benefited from strong Pacific influence mixed with warm days on a south-facing slope, yielding wines with concentration and freshness. This Chardonnay, aged 18 months in 50% new French oak, offers a layered nose of lemon curd, lemon zest, orange blossom, Asian pear, oyster shell, and raw almond. The palate is ample yet with great tension and drive, lifting flavors of lemon curd, hazelnut, fresh pear, and pastry flour with a hint of fresh sage. It's described as impeccably balanced with a layered, elegant mouthfeel and nicely integrated acidity.
🍴 This full-bodied Chardonnay pairs beautifully with rich seafood and poultry. For Cantonese cuisine, try it with baked crab with ginger and spring onion, crispy skin chicken, or a rich seafood congee. Western pairings include battered baked fish, grilled lobster with butter, roasted chicken, or creamy pasta dishes.
🥂 An excellent choice for a celebratory dinner, a sophisticated lunch, or a special gathering with friends. It shows a more open, supple style compared to previous vintages yet should still have 4-6 years of prime drinking if stored correctly.
