Robert Groffier, Chambertin Clos De Beze Grand Cru, 2012
🏰The 2012 Robert Groffier Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru is a broad and complete Grand Cru, with whole-cluster vinification helping to preserve the coldness of the terroir. This top cuvée from Groffier, from a vintage praised for its excellent reds, offers a 【knockout nose combining sappy red and darker berries, mocha, underbrush, sexy sweet oak, and a lifted rose petal perfume】. The palate is silky, thick, and brooding, with pure crunchy cranberry and pomegranate fruit flavors, serious yet suave tannins, and outstanding length.
🍴 This powerful and elegant red Burgundy is an ideal match for classic Western dishes such as roasted game, beef tenderloin, or rich truffle dishes. For an Eastern culinary experience, consider Cantonese braised goose or a sophisticated mushroom and abalone stew.
🥂 An exceptional wine for a significant celebration, a serious tasting event, or a cherished addition to a fine wine collection. It is still largely closed and needs more than 5 years of aging to fully integrate.

The domaine has been in the Groffier family since the 19th Century when it was established by Frederick Groffier.
