Jean Jacques Confuron, Nuits St. Georges Aux Boudots 1er Cru, 2011
🏰Jean Jacques Confuron's 2011 Nuits St. Georges Aux Boudots 1er Cru is celebrated for its 【Premier Cru finesse and depth】, embodying the classic charm of Burgundy Pinot Noir. Aux Boudots is a highly regarded Premier Cru vineyard in Nuits-Saint-Georges, known for producing well-structured and flavorful Pinot Noir wines. The 2011 Burgundy red vintage generally offered good fruit and moderate structure, making it suitable for medium-term drinking. Expect complex aromas of red berries like cherry and raspberry, intertwined with earthy, spicy, and floral notes. The palate is elegant with fine tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, lingering finish.
🍴 This refined Pinot Noir is an excellent match for roasted duck, game birds, mushroom risotto, or medium-aged Burgundy cheeses.
🥂 Ideal for sophisticated dinners, wine tasting events, or as a thoughtful gift for Burgundy enthusiasts.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Jean Jacques Confuron is a wine producer located in Premeaux, near Nuits-Saint-Georges in the Côte de Nuits, Burgund, France. The viticultural portfolio is now approximately 95-percent Pinot Noir with small plantings of Chardonnay and Aligoté. The domaine has 8 hectares (19 acres) of vines across 14 appellations, including plots in the prestigious grand cru vineyards Clos de Vougeot and Romanée-Saint-Vivant. The domaine began with the marriage of Jean Confuron and Anne Marie Bouchard in 1926, bringing together the vineyards of two different families. These vineyards have been passed through the family since, and the domaine has expanded as well, picking up plots in the prestigious grand cru sites.
