FEATURES
🏰The 1982 Louis Roederer Cristal is a truly magnificent and exceptionally beautiful Champagne, widely regarded as one of the all-time great Cristals. This vintage is particularly notable as it's considered the first vintage of climate change in Champagne, characterized by higher sugars and elevated ripeness due to abundant sun. Expect a wine of 【stunning purity and depth】, with a complex palate that perfectly integrates acidity, truffle flavors, and spice. Aromas of 【apricot, almond, chamomile, white truffles, honey, and roasted nuts】 lead to a broad and velvety palate with 【mellow acidity, ripe orchard fruit, and a long, nutty finish touched by subtle spice】.
🍴 This exquisite Champagne pairs beautifully with luxurious appetizers and delicate main courses. Think 【freshly shucked oysters, caviar, pan-seared scallops, or a delicate lobster bisque】. It also complements 【aged Parmesan or Comté cheese】 beautifully.
🥂 An ideal choice for celebrating major milestones, anniversaries, or any truly special occasion that calls for an iconic and age-worthy Champagne. Its vibrancy and complexity make it a memorable experience. Given its age, this wine is best served chilled but not overly cold, around 10-12°C (50-54°F), to allow its mature nuances to shine. Older vintages like this may have delicate corks and capsules, so careful opening is advised. Decanting is generally not recommended for old Champagne, as it can quickly lose its effervescence and delicate aromatics.
