🏰 The 2016 vintage in Bordeaux was widely acclaimed as an outstanding year, particularly for the Right Bank, producing wines of remarkable concentration, freshness, and balance, with excellent ageing potential. Carillon d'Angélus 2016, the second wine of the esteemed Château Angélus, perfectly reflects the quality of this vintage and its grand vin's pedigree. This red Bordeaux typically displays a deep ruby colour and offers an expressive bouquet of ripe black fruits, cassis, subtle floral notes, and a hint of graphite or cedar. On the palate, it is rich and harmonious, with polished tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, flavourful finish, providing an accessible yet sophisticated expression of Saint-Émilion. 【 Outstanding Bordeaux Vintage 】
🍴 This elegant red Bordeaux pairs beautifully with classic French dishes such as roasted duck breast, beef tenderloin with a red wine reduction, or a rich mushroom gratin. For an Eastern pairing, consider a refined Cantonese roasted pigeon or a slow-cooked beef stew with star anise.
🥂 An excellent choice for a celebratory dinner, a sophisticated gathering with friends, or as an introduction to the style of Château Angélus. Its approachability in its youth, combined with its potential for further development, makes it versatile for various special occasions.
