Georges Roumier, Morey St Denis Clos De La Bussiere 1er Cru, 1984
Red
750ml
Label : Very Slightly Bin Stained Soiled Label
Level : Min 4,00
🏰The 1984 vintage in Burgundy was challenging, but a Georges Roumier Morey St Denis Clos de la Bussiere 1er Cru from this esteemed producer can still offer a profound experience for those seeking aged Pinot Noir. 【Expect an ethereal bouquet of dried roses, decaying leaves, and earthy truffle notes, with a palate that, if well-preserved, will reveal a delicate structure, subtle red fruit, and a lingering, savory finish.】
🍴 This venerable Burgundy would be exquisite with classic French cuisine such as roasted squab, delicate game birds, or a refined mushroom pâté. For a more rustic pairing, consider a slow-cooked beef bourguignon or aged hard cheeses.
🥂 A truly special bottle for a milestone celebration, a contemplative tasting among serious collectors, or a moment of quiet reverence for a rare and aged wine. Due to its age, expect potential sediment and a fragile cork. Handle with utmost care.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Georges Roumier is a wine producer based in the Côte de Nuits village of Chambolle-Musigny that produces some of the most expensive, best-rated and most popular wines in Burgundy. The winery did not purchase the land directly, but used the French sharecropper/lease system, in which individuals farmed the land for the owner in exchange for a certain percentage of agricultural products. Now, Christophe has taken over the work of the winery and has become the owner of the winery. The current winemaker of the village. He pays close attention to terroir, so little new oak is used, and fermentation temperatures are kept low to allow the wine’s delicious flavors and aromas to shine through.
