🏰news | features + short tasting note IN ENGLISH
【From the esteemed Anne Gros of Burgundy fame, the 2023 Minervois Les Fontanilles is a classic in the making, blending the cool elegance of Burgundy with the warm soul of southern France】. Wine Advocate awarded this blend of Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault, and Syrah an impressive 92 points. The estate's old vines grow on a plateau at the same altitude as Vosne-Romanée, benefiting from cooler temperatures that ensure balanced, mineral-infused wines. Expect "notes of Mediterranean herbs, spices, dark berries, mulberries and flowers", with a "medium- to full-bodied, dense and layered" palate framed by "elegant, sweet tannins". Aromas of "black raspberries, cassis, baking spices" lead to a "silky and refined; bright, mineral-infused finish".
