🏰Domaine Leflaive's 2002 Puligny Montrachet Clavoillon 1er Cru hails from a successful Burgundy vintage, where Leflaive, a pioneer in biodynamic farming, carefully managed bâtonnage to ensure elegance. 【This now fully mature white Burgundy is celebrated for its elegant nose of white flowers, citrus, and peach, evolving into a round, sweet, and plump palate with real verve, fine complexity, and a delightful mature minerality.】
🍴 Chinese Cantonese food pairing: This exquisite white Burgundy would be magnificent with steamed garoupa with ginger and spring onion, delicate dim sum, or a rich seafood bird's nest soup. For Western cuisine, it pairs perfectly with roasted chicken or turkey, guinea fowl with morels, or foie gras.
🥂 fit for event suggestion: An ideal choice for a milestone anniversary, a sophisticated fine dining experience, or a special gathering of white Burgundy aficionados. It is drinking beautifully now, but careful handling of the cork and capsule is advised due to its age. While some older white Burgundies can show bottle variation, a well-stored bottle will offer immense pleasure. Serve at a cool cellar temperature, around 12-14°C (54-57°F). Decanting for a short period might help it open up, but monitor closely.
