🏰 Jean-Yves Bizot's Vosne Romanee 2009 is a highly sought-after wine with a cult following, celebrated for its 【breathtaking quality and unique freshness】 that defies the typical richness of the 2009 vintage. Made from very old vines, this wine offers a sensational perfumed start with ripe black cherry and blackberry, complemented by baking spice and a hint of thyme. The palate is charmingly elegant and refined, with a lush, ripe fruit profile, delicate tannins, and good minerality, promising excellent aging potential.
🍴 This exquisite Burgundy pairs beautifully with sophisticated dishes. Consider roasted game birds like pheasant or partridge, pan-seared duck breast, or a delicate beef carpaccio. Its elegance also makes it a wonderful match for truffle-infused pasta or fine aged cheeses.
🥂 An exceptional choice for a special celebration, a connoisseur's tasting, or as a prized addition to a serious wine collection. This wine is a true expression of Vosne-Romanée's magic and Jean-Yves Bizot's masterful touch.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Jean Yves Bizot is a small Burgundy wine producer located in the Côte de Nuits, making Pinot Noir on several small plots of the Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru vineyard and the Grand Cru chézeaux vineyard. It also produces small amounts of Chardonnay at the village and Burgundy Blanc levels, and has plots in Massanai and Burgundy Chapit. The total area of the estate is just over three hectares. The current incarnation of the domaine was founded in 1995, when Jean Yves Bizot, a professor of oenology, inherited the domaine and vineyards from his family and followed a largely unconventional winemaking process.
