🏰 The 2021 vintage in Burgundy was challenging but yielded wines of remarkable freshness and precision for dedicated producers like Bernard Bonin, making their Bourgogne Blanc Initiales BB a testament to skillful winemaking. 【Bernard Bonin's Bourgogne Blanc Initiales BB is a highly sought-after regional white Burgundy, celebrated for its vibrant minerality and elegant expression of Chardonnay.】 Expect bright citrus, green apple, and subtle nutty notes, underpinned by a crisp acidity and a long, saline finish, reflecting the purity of the vintage.
🍴 This elegant white Burgundy is fantastic with pan-seared scallops, grilled prawns, roast chicken with herbs, or goat cheese salads. For an Asian pairing, try it with steamed fish with ginger and spring onion, or delicate dim sum like har gow.
🥂 Perfect for an intimate dinner, a sophisticated lunch, or as an impressive gift for a Burgundy lover.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Bernard-Bonin is a wine producer based in the town of Meursault, in the Côte de Beaune sub-region in the heart of Burgundy's Côte d'Or. Most of the winery's vineyards are located in the Meursault region, many of which are First Cru level, and it also owns some plots in neighboring Puligny-Montrachet. The estate produces only white wine, almost exclusively Chardonnay. In 1998 the domaine was taken over by husband-and-wife team Nicolas Bernard and Véronique Bonin, who manage 7 hectares (17 acres) of vineyards, including plots of Meursault's Genevrères and Charmes Premier Crus. Bernard-Bonin uses biodynamic methods and the estate has been certified organic since 2015.
