🏰 The 2021 Burgundy vintage was a challenging year with severe April frosts and mildew pressure, resulting in significantly reduced yields, especially for whites, but producing a return to a more classic, fresher, and lighter style of red wines. This Arnoux Lachaux Bourgogne Pinot Fin 2021, from a producer known for meticulous vineyard work, embodies the best of this challenging vintage. Expect delightful aromas of red fruit and flowers, flowing into a delicate palate with light and finely textured tannins. These wines are crisp, bright, and lively, offering a softly-spoken intensity that is truly beguiling.
🍴 This elegant Pinot Noir is a versatile food companion, pairing beautifully with roasted chicken, pan-seared duck breast, or lighter game dishes. It also complements mushroom-based pasta, charcuterie, or soft, earthy cheeses. For an Asian touch, consider Cantonese roast goose or delicate dim sum.
🥂 Ideal for a casual weeknight dinner, a gathering with friends, or as an introduction to the nuanced pleasures of classic Burgundy. Its freshness and lighter style make it approachable now, but it also has the potential for a few years of aging.
