🏰 The 2022 vintage in Burgundy is still very young, but early reports suggest a promising year for red wines, offering good ripeness and freshness. This Jacques Prieur Musigny Grand Cru 2022, from one of Burgundy's most hallowed vineyards, is expected to be a wine of 【extraordinary finesse and aromatic intensity, with delicate red berry fruit, floral notes, and a silky texture, destined for remarkable longevity】.
🍴 Musigny Grand Cru, with its ethereal elegance, pairs best with refined and subtle dishes. Think roasted squab, pan-seared duck breast with cherry sauce, delicate game birds, or truffle-infused risotto. For an elevated Chinese pairing, consider steamed pigeon or a light braised abalone.
🥂 A truly exceptional wine for the most significant celebrations, a profound collector's item, or a once-in-a-lifetime tasting experience.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Jacques Prieur is a relatively large Burgundy producer that makes both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from esteemed vineyard holdings across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, France. The history of the domaine began in the 1860s, with the marriage of Claude Duvergey and Marie Taboureau. They first established the wine and spirits merchant business, Duvergey-Taboureau House, before buying property in Meursault – now the site of the modern Domaine Jacques Priuer.
