🏰Olivier Bernstein Mazis Chambertin Grand Cru 2013 offers a 【powerful and structured expression of a top Gevrey-Chambertin Grand Cru】, showcasing the potential for elegance and complexity even in a challenging vintage. Mazis-Chambertin is known for producing robust Pinot Noir wines with significant aging requirements, characterized by dark fruit, earthy complexity, and firm tannins. While 2013 was a difficult year for red Burgundy, top producers like Bernstein crafted wines that, with time, reveal their inherent quality.
🍴 This mature Grand Cru Pinot Noir is an excellent match for rich, savory dishes. Consider roasted game meats like venison or wild boar, beef Wellington, or a classic coq au vin. Its earthy notes also complement truffle-infused dishes or a selection of mature, firm cheeses.
🥂 A superb choice for a serious Burgundy collector's dinner, a special occasion celebrating a milestone, or a contemplative tasting to appreciate the evolution of a challenging vintage. Be mindful of the cork and capsule when opening, as older bottles can be delicate.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Pierre Boisson/Anne Boisson is a family winery. The winery is run by father Bernard (retired in 2016), son Pierre and daughter Anne. Although it is the same winery, the wines produced by the three people will be labeled separately. on their respective names. They jointly own 8.5 hectares of land around the Cote de Beaune, and the vineyard's terroir is wet stone and flint, giving the grapes more minerality.
