🏰 【A testament to Antoine Jobard's skill in red winemaking, offering a structured and complex Pinot Noir with a vibrant, mineral core】. The 2023 Antoine Jobard Beaune Montrevenots 1er Cru is a very young vintage, sourced from 45-year-old vines on a Premier Cru vineyard, with minimally interventionist winemaking and barrel aging. It shows a deep, bright ruby red color. The bouquet offers forest fruits, blackberry, and raspberry, with possible toasted notes. The palate is medium-bodied with polished tannins and a savory structure, leading to a vibrant and mineral finish with hints of undergrowth. Expect precise, slightly floral dark fruit with a subtle spicy touch, and a slender palate with fine tannins. Some notes suggest a ripe yet fresh nose of red berries and spice, with black cherries and boysenberry fruit on the palate.
🍴 Pairs well with hearty pasta dishes like tajarin with game ragù or red wine risotto, grilled or braised red meats such as boeuf bourguignon, sliced beef with arugula and parmesan, carbonade flamande, and beef stews. Also suitable for beef, veal, poultry, and game.
🥂 Recommended to serve at a moderate temperature in large glasses. It needs a few years of keeping to fully develop.
