🏰 The 2015 Chignard Juliénas Beauvernay is a 【textbook Juliénas, combining the power and structure of Côte de Brouilly with the silkiness and perfume of the Côte de Py, and has fared better than its Fleurie counterpart with bottle age】. The 2015 vintage for Beaujolais was exceptionally good, with a warm growing season producing wines with good concentration. This Gamay offers brilliant magenta color and lively, highly perfumed aromas of black raspberry, spicecake, and candied flowers, picking up a minerally quality as the wine opens. Silky and energetic in the mouth, it delivers sappy, concentrated red and blue fruit flavors with very good clarity and spicy lift. Red fruit and lavender notes linger on the impressively persistent finish, shaped by smooth tannins. It's bursting with aromas of sweet berries, plums, licorice, and soil, medium to full-bodied, velvety and charming, with fine tannins and succulent acids.
🍴 This vibrant red Beaujolais pairs wonderfully with chicken and turkey dishes. It also complements charcuterie, roasted pork, or mushroom-based dishes. For an Asian pairing, consider Cantonese roast pork (char siu) or light dim sum.
🥂 Ideal for a casual dinner, a lively gathering with friends, or a summer barbecue.
