Pommery, Cuvee Louise Brut Millesime Edition Parcelle, 2006
🏰 The 2006 Champagne vintage was generally considered average, but some excellent wines were produced, particularly from top estates. The growing season saw a favorable spring, hot and dry June and July, followed by a damp August. Fortunately, warm and bright conditions in September saved the vintage, allowing for a protracted harvest under ideal conditions. The resulting wines are supple and generous, with the best examples showing fine integration and expression. 【Pommery's pinnacle release, an exceptional 2006 vintage Champagne.】 Tasting notes reveal aromas of butter, toast, lemon, and orange, with layers of stone fruit on the palate. It's rich, complex, and toasty, with a supple character, fine mousse, and flavors of orange zest, mango, mirabelle, leading to a creamy finish with bergamot.
🍴 This exquisite Champagne is perfect with rich fish like salmon or tuna, mild and soft cheeses, or delicate seafood such as carpaccio of sea bream with a creamy emulsion, or Arctic char served with fennel fondue.
🥂 This Champagne is drinking superbly now and is ideal for significant celebrations, milestone anniversaries, or as a luxurious aperitif to elevate any special occasion. Its excellent aging capacity means it can still offer immense pleasure.
