Hubert Lignier, Gevrey Chambertin Les Seuvrees, 2017
🏰 The Domaine Hubert Lignier Gevrey-Chambertin Les Seuvrees comes from vines planted between 1938 and 1966, making them among the oldest in the village and contributing to 【deep-rooted complexity and low yields】. This Gevrey-Chambertin is a classic expression of Burgundy Pinot Noir, known for its savory and classic style. While specific 2017 vintage notes are limited, wines from this vineyard typically offer aromatic profiles of red berries, brown spice, graphite, and gamey undertones, often with hints of spicy oak. It's a wine that builds structure without masking the vineyard's character, rewarding cellaring.
🍴 This Gevrey-Chambertin is a superb match for a variety of rich and flavorful dishes. Consider grilled or roasted red meats, such as beef, veal, lamb, or game birds. It also pairs wonderfully with truffle dishes, braised beef in sauce, or aged Comté cheese.
🥂 Ideal for a sophisticated dinner party, a special occasion celebrating Burgundy, or for collectors looking to enjoy a mature, complex Pinot Noir.
