🏰【An outstanding 2011 Scheurebe Auslese from Reichsrat von Buhl, offering a symphony of ripe fruit and elegant acidity from a very good German vintage】. This sweet white wine, from a vintage that saw ripe grapes retaining fresh, mineral notes and elegant aromatics, presents a delightful array of apricot, apple, melon, citrus, and tropical notes, complemented by hints of honey and stone.
🍴 This exquisite Auslese is a perfect companion for pork, poultry, or soft goat's milk cheeses.
🥂 Excellent for dessert, special celebrations, or as a luxurious aperitif. It's drinking beautifully now and will continue to age gracefully, developing further complexity.
BACKGROUND
Reichsrat von Buhl is a historic and highly acclaimed wine estate in the Pfalz region, founded in 1849. Known for their exceptional Rieslings, they also produce outstanding wines from other varieties. The Scheurebe Auslese is a brilliant example of this aromatic grape variety. It delivers an exotic bouquet of passion fruit, pink grapefruit, and blackcurrant, with a luscious, sweet palate that is perfectly balanced by a vibrant, refreshing acidity.
