FEATURES
🏰 The 2010 Amour de Deutz is the flagship Blanc de Blancs cuvée from Deutz, a testament to their mastery in winemaking, even in a challenging vintage. This 100% Chardonnay Champagne, sourced from Grand Cru villages like Avize and Mesnil-sur-Oger, perfectly illustrates the 2010 vintage's well-bred wines, which displayed honesty and integrity from the outset. Despite some mixed reviews on the vintage's overall ease, Deutz achieved a fine success, producing a bright, fine-boned wine.
This Champagne displays an alluring crystalline, pure white-gold hue with golden tints and a delicate, smooth effervescence. The nose is deep and distinctive, stimulating the senses with fruity notes of apricot, peach, kumquat, and mirabelle plums, accompanied by subtle floral and fresh almond aromas. On the palate, it is broad and rich, enveloping the palate in a silky, velvety lace, evolving with great distinction to reveal its elegance. Expect bright Chardonnay characteristics with fresh hazelnut, confit de citron, chalk, lemongrass, and pale stone fruit with fresh butter. The palate offers a creamy and seductive texture alongside an austere backbone, with nutty young fruit and a long, almost salty and chalky aftertaste. 【 The flagship Blanc de Blancs cuvée of Deutz, showcasing elegance and complexity from a challenging yet successfully managed 2010 vintage 】
🍴 Amour de Deutz always makes an exceptional aperitif. It partners beautifully with caviar, sushi, sashimi, or carpaccios of tuna or Kobe beef at the start of a meal. The delicacy of the 2010 vintage also allows it to pair nicely with pure, delicate, and well-balanced dishes, or richer dishes as the wine ages, such as grilled lobster or sea bass in a light or fuller-bodied sauce. It also complements certain Champagne region cheeses like Chaource.
🥂 Currently in its early youth, this Blanc de Blancs shows excellent potential for development and cellar-aging, and is already drinking well. It is ideal for special occasions, gastronomic meals, or for sharing a moment of tasting. Serve chilled at around 8-10°C to highlight its freshness and intricate flavors.
